AeroMech Awarded FAA STC for Garmin G950 System in a Beechcraft 1900D

AeroMech Incorporated received supplemental type certification (STC) from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for its Garmin G950 System upgrade for the Beechcraft 1900D.  AeroMech’s wholly owned subsidiary, AMI Aviation Services, LLC will install the G950 retrofit at its Orlando/Sanford International Airport facility as well as distribute the STC to qualified Garmin dealers as part of a complete FAA PMA kit designed to minimize downtime.

AMI Aviation Services, LLC (“AMI”) announced it is taking pre orders for a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) and Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) Kit with optional installation services to retrofit the Beechcraft 1900D Airliner with proven Garmin G950 glass panel technology.  The G950 avionics will thoroughly modernize the aging 1900D cockpit and offer operators dramatic life cycle cost benefits including greater reliability, reduced weight, simplified fleet-wide training, and a flexible architecture designed to accommodate future technology in this legendary commuter airliner and corporate shuttle/VIP aircraft. 
Thrane & Thrane System Receives STC for Aviator 700D

The STC follows successful testing of Thrane & Thrane’s new RTCA DO-178B Level-D software and DO-254 Level-D hardware, which will allow for Future Air Navigation System (FANS), Controller Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC) and voice safety service operations via the system’s cockpit data and H+ voice channels.
