Available Positions: (Click to Expand)

  • The hired individual will play a key role in developing static structures / stress substantiation analyses and reports for AeroMech-developed mechanical installation design packages, to support development of STCs for the installation of inflight connectivity systems (primarily Starlink), and other systems and equipment on various aircraft platforms. Tasks include periodic drafting and / or drawing review, structures design review and feedback for engineering, static / stress analysis and report development, and other structures substantiation data to support various STC projects.

    Requirements Include:

    1. At least five (5) years of experience developing static structures / stress substantiation analyses and reports for the installation of various systems and equipment on aircraft.

    2. Experience drafting, developing and reviewing aircraft structural installation design packages.

    Preferences Include:

    1. Proficiency with SolidWorks (or analogous engineering design tools) and to have Experience in SolidWorks for aircraft engineering designs.

    2. Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other computational techniques used to simulate how aircraft structure or aircraft materials behave under various conditions.

    3. Experience with conducting damage tolerance analyses (DTAs) and bird strike is preferred but not required.

    4. At least five (5) years of relevant experience with FAA part 25 / part 23 airworthiness certification.

    5. Past working relationship with the FAA and / or ODAs is preferred, but not required.

    6. Excellent verbal and written communication is important for this role.

    7. Having a keen interest in aviation (in general) is highly preferred.

    This is a full-time position. Annual salary largely dependent upon relevant experience in this type of role.
