AeroMech Achieves RVSM Certification for Piper M700 Fury

[Mukilteo, WA] – [December 1, 2025] – AeroMech Incorporated (www.aeromechinc.com), a leading provider of aircraft engineering and certification services, announced it has received STC approval for RVSM on the Piper M700 Fury.  The RVSM solution consists of a pair of STCs issued by AeroMech’s FAA STC ODA; one STC approves the installation of AeroMech-proprietary compensated static ports and a second certifies the M700 is then RVSM compliant as modified.

This  certification is the first time AeroMech has used its Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) expertise to design compensated static ports, fabricated by its wholly owned subsidiary AMI Aviation Services, to achieve an acceptable level of altimetry system error required for RVSM certification.  An added benefit is the M700 can be qualified for RVSM with no changes to the avionics.  This innovative approach to the M700 RVSM effort underscores AeroMech’s technical expertise and commitment to expanding its capabilities to provide marketable high-value aviation solutions .

“With the addition of the M700, I am pleased AeroMech now offers RVSM certification for all turboprop Piper PA-46 models, including the Meridian/M500/M600”, said Dave Doucette, President of AMI Aviation Services. “ And to obtain RVSM approval on the faster M700 without avionics changes and instead using newly designed static ports was a remarkable achievement.”

“We were pleased to assist AeroMech in the M700 RVSM flight testing by providing an aircraft and pilot,” said Jeff Vickers, Regional Sales Manager of the Flightline Group.  “I look forward to working with my prospective customers to introduce the benefits of RVSM with lower fuel burn at altitude, increased range, better ATC routing in underutilized flight levels, and the ability to top inclement weather.”

For M700 operators who do not obtain RVSM as a factory option, as well as Meridian, M500, and M600 operators in service now, AeroMech’s wholly owned subsidiary, AMI Aviation Services can conduct RVSM installations at its part 145 facilities in Orlando/Sanford (KSFB) and Nashville/Smyrna (KMQY) .
